BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, 30 October - The Department of Information received delegates from the Republic of Singapore for the Officer Exchange Programme in the country, for a four-day visit.
Five delegates, was headed by the Deputy Director (Messaging and Engagement), Ministry of Communications and Information, Republic of Singapore, Shakera Stationwala.
While in the Department of Information, delegates were also briefed on the Department of Information work strategies which included three work strategies, namely Face-to-Face Communications, Print Media and New Media delivered by the Head of Public Relations and Media Services Unit, Awang Ali Termizzi bin Haji Ramlli/Ramli. The delegation then visited the exhibition in the lobby of the department.
Meanwhile, the Exchange of Officers and Media Programmes is a project that has been agreed on, during the Joint Technical Committee Meeting under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam with the Government of Singapore, in the field of information.
The programme also aims to provide exposure and experience as well as information sharing on their respective roles and functions as the ears, eyes and the tongue of the governments of both countries towards the preservation, enhancement and excellence of the image of the monarch, state and government through the dissemination of information that is fast, accurate and authoritative.
