LUMUT, Tuesday, April 10. - The Nationhood Briefing Programme is one of the Department of Information's ongoing efforts to inculcate affection for the sovereign, religion, race and nation, as well as strengthening the spirit of solidarity, patriotism and statehood among students through national anthem and national flag.
In this regard, a total of 172 Year 7 students from Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Secondary School, Lumut attended the Nationhood Briefing Program titled Our King, Appreciating the National Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam delivered by the Department of Information through the Belait District Information Branch .
The briefing was presented by Head of Belait District Information Branch, Pengiran Haji Ahmad Fadillah Akhbar bin Pengiran Haji Sellahuddin.
Among other things in the briefing, he touched on our sovereign, the national flag raising ceremony and the history of the National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam,' Allah Peliharakan Sultan' in detail.
Also present at the programme was the principal Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Secondary School, Lumut, Dayang Halizawati binti Kepli and teachers of the school.
At the briefing, the students also watched the video presentation of 'Kibarkanlah Dengan Megah Bendera Negara', 'Semarak Pengibaran Bendera Negara' and the animated video of the 'Tatacara Menaikkan Bendera Negara' and the InfoDeptBN Mobile Application video clip.
Students also participated in the Nationhood Quiz conducted by the department.
The briefing ended with a prize presentation to students who successfully answered the nationhood quiz.
