The Department of Information inspires through Informed Community Programme (PMB)

TUTONG, Monday. April 1. – The Informed Community Programme (PMB) is one of the Department of Information platforms to disseminate official information on government policies  so that all members of society are able to understand, support and assimilate effectively through the presentation of briefings, dialogue sessions and visits.

 

The matter was explained by Head of Tutong District Information Branch, Awang Hasanul Hidayat bin Haji Abu Bakar when delivering his speech as Chairman of PMB Kampung Birau, which took place at Kampung Birau Community Center, Tutong.

 

He also said, through the two-day programme, participants are hoped to gain a multitude of benefits as well as information through briefings and visits.

 

He further explained that the delegation would begin with a visit to the Department of Information, followed by visits to the Fisheries Department, Golden Corporation.Bhd., Department of Agriculture and Agribusiness, Rz Prisma Company, Hua Ho Agricultural Farm and Rimba Garden Central.

 

"Towards this, the Informed Community Programme aims to increase knowledge and disseminate the development and government's efforts in upgrading the living standard of the people as well as to strengthen self-identity and continuously providing cooperation in upholding the nation's aspiration.

 

In addition, it also aims to strengthen self-esteem to give high confidence in handling challenges and the influence of life that can interfere with harmony, the well-being and stability of life in this country, " he explained.


Present as guest of honour, Member of Legislative Council, Yang Berhormat Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit as Penghulu of Mukim Telisai.

 

A total of 30 participants led by Head of Kampung Birau, Awang Haji Burhanuddin bin Haji Hashim participated in the visit.
