TUTONG, Saturday, December 21. – The Department of Information continues its series of Personal Contact Programme to enhance bilateral relations between the government and the people as well as the people and the government.
 
The programme was held at the Community Centre Kampung Luagan Dudok, Tutong.District.
 
The delegation from the Department of Information was led by the Acting Director of Information, Dayang Sastra Sarini binti Haji Julaini.
 
Also present were the Acting Head Village of Kampung Sinaut, Awang Haji Johor bin Haji Kamis and residents of the village.
 
During the meeting, the Acting Director of Information, Dayang Sastra Sarini, among others, shared data on the issues for the Personal Contact Programme for the year 2017/2018 which recorded 199 issues received from all over the district, and four which are pending (under the infrastructure category).
 
In addition, she also explained the offenses in hoisting the national flag, the act of spreading false information and programmes under the Community  Relations Unit..
 
During the programme, a number of issues related to the provision of infrastructure, facilities, safety, environmental cleanliness and welfare as well as public welfare were raised.
 
At present, Kampung Sinaut is inhabited by 1,060 residents village and has an area of 3.5 sq. km.
 
The village consists of basic amenities such as electricity, water, telephone lines, roads, secondary schools and a post office.
 
The programme is one of the efforts of the Department of Information to disseminate information and programmes as well as the development and progress of the mukim and village through the Government's official newspaper, Pelita Brunei, other than to present current information as well as issues and government policies.
 
In addition, it is hoped that the programme will receive the necessary feedback and action by the relevant government parties.​
