BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, 30 October – Radio Television Brunei (RTB) received a visit from five officers from the Republic of Singapore through the Officer Exchange Programme, from the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam, under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Broadcasting and Information between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam.
The delegation headed by Deputy Director (Messaging and Engagement), the Ministry of Communications and Information, Republic of Singapore, Shakera Stationwala, will be in the country for four days, from 29 October to 1 November. During the visit to RTB, a briefing on the RTB background was presented by Senior Publisher, News and Current Affairs Division, Dayang Siti Liyana binti Haji Suhaimi and Assistant Public Relations Officer, Dayang Haliza binti Kilali. This exchange programme is one of the project that has been agreed on, during the Joint Technical Committee Meeting under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam with the Government of Singapore in the field of Information. While in Brunei Darussalam, the delegates will have the opportunity to visit government agencies and the private sector as well as some places of interest in the country.
The Officer Exchange Programme in the field of Broadcasting and Information aims to provide exposure and experience as well as information sharing on their respective roles and functions as the ears, eyes and the tongue of the governments of both countries towards the preservation, enhancement and excellence of the image of the monarch, state and government through the dissemination of information that is fast, accurate and authoritative.
