Department of Information approaches Labi 1 residents

LABI, Wednesday, July 25. - The Personal Contact programme that is reaching the public is still relevant in this sophisticated era as it is more 'interpersonal'.

In addition, interactions will be more effective and can provide goodwill as well as enhance the well-established ties between public service and the community, where it will create prosperity and harmony to society and the nation.

The programme was held at the residence of members of the Legislative Council, Yang Berhormat Awang Hanapi bin Mohd. Siput as Acting Penghulu Mukim Labi and Head of Kampung Labi I.

The Department of Information is led by Acting Director of Information, Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad and is accompanied by several officers and staff of the department welcomed by Yang Berhormat and Member of the Village Consultative Council (MPK).

The programme is one of the programs under the department's work strategy through face to face communication, which is aimed at enhancing bilateral ties between the government and the people.

It is implemented to obtain issues and opinions, recommendations to be taken into consideration and actions by the relevant parties in the government, as well as to dissimenate and promote the development of the mukim as well as villages, especially places and products to be introduced to the public inside and outside the country through the writing of the Kenali Negara Kitani (KNK) plan to be broadcast on Pelita Brunei, in line with the role of the Department of Information as the tongue, eyes and ears of the government.

Among others, the related issues shared by MPK and residents of Kampung Labi I are on public amenities, infrastructures and public welfare affairs.

Through the programme, the Department of Information introduced and familiarised the department's mobile application, 'InfoDeptBN', further describing the procedure for downloading 'InfoDeptBN' app through 'Google Playstore' for Android users and 'App Store' for iOS users.

Also shared with MPK Members is how to handle the dissemination of false news or information, that is from relevant government agencies and through a departmental program, the Informed Community Programme (PMB) in assisting villagers to know, understand and appreciate important information such as entrepreneurship with more detail.

The Informed Community Programme is the platform for the department to deliver official information on the government's policies and intentions so that all members of the community understand, support and support them effectively, not just through briefing, dialogue sessions, and even on visits as appropriate.

The Department of Information is also not left behind to use social media sites. The people of this country can follow the Information Department Facebook, the 'Jabatan Penerangan Jabatan Perdana Menteri', Twitter Account: '@infodept_bn' and Instagram Account: '@infodept.bn'. Apple and Android users can now also download the InfoDeptBN Mobile Application.
