BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sunday, April 28. - In effort to create team spirit, participants of the Second Postgraduate Civic Village Programme 2019 participated in group activities at the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex. The group activity was for the formation of the Joint Chiefs committee to ensure the attendance and timeliness of participants for each activity to be held throughout the programme such as briefing and visits.
Among those present was the Head of the Nationhood Unit of the Nationhood and Community Division, Dayang Hajah Hamsah binti Datu Kerna Haji Jaya.
The programme, organised by the Department of Information, through its Nationhood Unit of the Nationhood and Community Division, is one of the platforms to prepare participants,
especially postgraduates through various future challenges, and thus prepare themselves as a visionary generation of high qualities and skills, able to achieve the Brunei Vision 2035.
A total of 15 participants comprising of five male and 10 female postgraduates from the institutions of higher learning such as Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and a foreign postgraduates from foreign universities such as Egypt, United Kingdom, Australia and Malaysia participated in the programme.
Participants of the programme will be the leaders who will continue the survival of the nation and country, in which they need to be given understanding and information on the country's philosophy, aspiration and goals so that they will be able to balance their academic knowledge.
The programme is expected to be one of the platforms to prepare the participants, especially graduates to face the challenges ahead and to be able to prepare themselves as a visionary generation of high qualities and skills, and are independent without needing assistance from others.
