Educate teenagers towards the formation of positive minds and morals

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday, November 19. - The Information Youth Peer Programme (RRP) aims to approach teenagers in schools so that they are aware of current developments and inculcate patriotism and social responsibility among adolescents.
 
In this regard, the Department of Information through its Nationhood Unit, Nationhood and Community Division continued its Information Youth Peer Programme at Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School (SMJA) at the Department of Information’s Auditorium.
 
Present at the programme was the Head of Nationhood Unit, Nationhood and Community Division, Awang Muhammad Hisyam bin Idris.
 
Also resent was the Acting Deputy Principal of Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School, Dayang Norazian bint Abdullah.
 
The ceremony began with a briefing on ‘Our Sovereign, Appreciating the Brunei Darussalam National Flag and National Anthem presented by the Acting Information Officer, Dayang Hajah Noorhijrah binti Haji Idris.
 
The programme continued with video clip presentation on ‘Kibarkan Dengan Megah Bendera Negara’ followed by a contemporary dance performance with the title of ‘Seantero Dunia’ by the students as well as solo singing performance by a representative from the Department of Information.
 
Attendees were also entertained with comedies and nationhood quiz by Dayang Hajah Kasumawati binti Hj Buntar and Haji Mohd Firdaus bin Hj Salleh.
 
More than 50 students of Year 10 and teachers from SMJA participated in the Information Youth Peer Programme (RRP) aimed at providing civic awareness and a sense of nationhood especially to teenagers towards the formation of positive minds and morals.
